Dr Leighton J Seal

I am anHCPCRegistered Doctor of Counselling Psychology and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS)where I am also Chair Elect of the Division of Counselling Psychology. I represent the East Midlands to NHS England’s Clinical Reference Group (CRG) on Gender Identity Services and am one of the few psychologists recognised by HM Courts and Tribunals Service as a Specialist in the field of Gender Dysphoria, thus allowing me to prepare medical reports for the Gender Recognition Panel. Within the NHS, I am the Senior Specialist Psychology Associate at the Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust Gender Clinic, where I work as a psychologist conducting assessment and follow-up for hormones and surgeries; as well as psychotherapy; as part of the multidisciplinary team.
